Welcome to Tracked Out!

About Us

Tracked Out is a free, public Minecraft server where you can play Decked Out 2 - the dungeon crawler minigame from Hermitcraft built by TangoTek.

We provide the full Decked Out 2 experience along with many quality-of-life changes, and our fancy network of multiple dungeons means you don't wait for the dungeon to reset. You just play again and again.

Explore the dungeon, build your deck, and compete with other players in our community-run recreation of the game — no mods required!

What We Have Added

  • Improved mechanics: refined vex behaviour, optimizations to mob placement, bug fixes, and more!
  • Mod free gameplay: our custom datapack lets you enjoy the full Decked Out 2 experience with zero mods
  • Practice mode: infinite games with access to all cards, experiment at your leisure
  • Dedicated worlds: each run gets its own unique world with freshly randomized mob placements, so no two runs are ever the same
  • Parallel runs: no waiting line - players get their own dungeon instance and up to 6 runs can be active at the same time
  • Advancements: delve deeper into the dungeon and earn yourself many new unique Decked Out 2 advancements!

How To Play Decked Out 2

  1. You will need Minecraft version 1.20.1
  2. [Optional] Install the Tracked Out modpack: Modpack For Tracked Out
  3. Connect to the server at play.trackedout.org - you will land in the lobby server
  4. You will automatically get your Practice Deck. Hold your shulkerbox and right-click to edit!
  5. Move cards and items to your inventory if you don't want to take them into the dungeon
  6. Once you're ready to play, go to the Decked Out 2 door and place a Frozen Shard in the barrel on the floor to queue
  7. Your dungeon should be ready immediately, unless we have a ton of players online, so enter the door and start playing!
  8. Press the button above the door to leave the dungeon when you're done with your run, or type /lobby
  9. Practice shards are infinite, and will automatically refill when you get low

Rules

  • Abide by our Code of Conduct.
  • All cards have a number at the top right corner, which represents the maximum number of duplicates (of that card) that your deck can have.
  • Your deck may contain up to 40 cards.
  • You cannot break any blocks as you will be in adventure mode.
  • Named mobs are not allowed to be killed. Mobs that spawn inside the dungeon such as slimes, spiders and vexes, may however be killed.
  • You cannot leave the run with artifacts or coins and they must be relinquished before exiting the dungeon.
  • Do not use Freecam, F5 or any other camera modification mod or datapack.
  • Do not enable hitboxes.

Datapack, Modpack & Infrastructure

Curious about what we built? Here is is!

  • Brillance: a datapack that handles capturing in-game events and sending them to Agronet.
  • Agronet: a Fabric mod (written in Kotlin) that handles communication between Brilliance and Dunga Dunga. It also handles the creation of player Decks (shulkerboxes with cards) based on data it gets from Dunga Dunga. This mod runs in the dungeon instances.
  • Dunga Dunga: a Typescript API backend that exposes APIs for player, deck, score, dungeon, and queue management. It uses MongoDB as the datastore. It also handles the background infrastructure tasks for managing dungeon availability and rebuilds.
  • Citadel: a Paper plugin (also in Kotlin) that gives players access to their decks, the shop, and queue system on the lobby server.
  • Davybones: the Kubernetes cluster of docker containers that runs all of our services across multiple hosts.
